Dear Parents and Students,

 

I believe in a round music education for violin students. In order to be an excellent violinist, one must know more than the mechanics of violin playing. I aim to give my students an full understanding of music, which is beneficial to violin performance. Under my instruction, students will learn:

• Proper violin posture and technique

• Music-reading and sight-reading

• Musicianship and expression

• Historical performance

• Intonation and aural theory

• Music theory and history

 

Beginner lessons will be focused on violin posture and technique, since learning how to play the violin is challenging at first. As students progress and become more independent players, I will incorporate music and aural theory, history, and historical performance to enhance their musicianship. I am honored to be a considered as part of your student's musical education!
