Violin Lesson Policies

Payment

Payment will be due at the first lesson of the month.

Late payments must be paid within 7 days. A $5.00 fee will be charged to the following month's bill if the payment is more than 7 days late.

Methods of payment include:

Credit/Debit via Square (2.75% fee)
Check
Cash

Student Cancellation

Rescheduling

Students may reschedule for the following reasons:

Illness
Medical appointments and health emergencies
Immediate family emergencies

Students may not reschedule for the following reasons:

Lack of student preparation
Last minute cancellation
No call, no show

$25.00 lesson charge will still be applied to monthly bill and will not be rescheduled.

Teacher Cancellation

Lesson Protocol

Please arrive a few minutes early to be ready to start the lesson on time.

Students must thoroughly prepare their assigned material for the lesson.

Students must bring the following materials to their weekly lesson:

Instrument
Assigned literature
Pencil
Assignment notebook

Parents: please sit with students under the age of seven in their violin lesson. For Suzuki or traditional violin methods, I highly encourage parents to be involved in the lesson. This way, parents are able to assist their children practice at home until they become independent violinists. Exceptions may be allowed at Miss Weber's discretion.

Recital

A student recital will be held at the end of the academic year. The location and date will be announced. Each student is required to perform one piece of his/her and Miss Weber's choosing. Performance is very benefical for the student as a musician. The recital will be a growing experience, not an intimidating one.

If an accompanist is necessary for the student's recital, a fee will be applied to May's bill. The accompanist will rehearse with the student in the lesson once and will accompany him/her in the recital.

Miss Weber will reschedule lessons for the following reasons:

Illness
Medical appointments or health emergencies
Immediate family emergencies
Inclement weather. Miss Weber will follow South Merrimack Christian Academy's announcements regarding weather cancellations and delays. For in-home lessons, Miss Weber will reschedule at her discretion.

Students will be notified of lesson rescheduling.
